It all started in November 2012. I travelled to Mexico City, because I was invited to Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. After paying attention to the designer's proposals for Spring 2013, I wasn't sure that there was a lot to offer. So I thought to myself, "What if I made my own clothing line?", that thought sticked to my head for days, and after coming back to Ensenada, from that trip, I talked to my mom about it, and she was very excited about that idea. My parents own Fabric Stores in Mexico, so that opened a lot of doors for me, and my mom knows a lot of people that have garment making factories.
I started drawing some sketches, and picking at some fabrics. I had to go to LA to buy some more, because I wanted it to be really unique. I picked each fabric for each piece, and I developed a dreamed not yet created collection. After talking to some people about my ideas, I hired a company that has a really good reputation making clothes. They translated my drawings into actual garments.
When I first saw the samples, I was incredibly excited. I couldn't believe that I was about to start my own clothing line, and I could finally feel it in my hands. So this is the final result of my first collection. Eduardo Romo Fall 2013. Now sold at Fava Boutique, and Online at FavaBoutique.com
