Target + Neiman Marcus: The perfect couple for this Christmas

Target and Neiman Marcus just announced their Holiday season collaboration, celebrating 50 years of design. The two brands reached 24 top-designers such as Marc Jacobs, Proenza Schouler, Tory Burch, Prabal Gurung, Rodarte, Marchesa, among other big names at the fashion industry; and collaborated with them creating more than 50 gorgeous gifts for these Holidays. I think this is a brilliant idea. You can give someone you love a pretty cool designer gift at a very affordable price. I personally want these items:

Proenza Schouler iPad Sleeve $39.99

Marc Jacobs Pouch $69.99

Rodarte Ornament $19.99

Thom Browne blazer $149.99

Marc by Marc SS2013

Marc Jacobs never disappoints us. For his Marc by Marc Spring 2013 collection he decided to go for a sporty, yet classy look full of prints and bright colors. My favorite piece from it: the sunglasses. They are THE bomb. And those striped pants, are simply perfect.

Weekend at San Diego

This weekend was awesome; I spent it at one of my favorite places in the world, San Diego, CA.
Since I live in Mexico, I can't find things that I like and It's really great when I have the time and money to go to SD for some shopping.

First, I went to one of my favorite stores to shop affordable clothing: Forever 21, or Heritage 1981 for men. I love that not many men know about that section at F21 and they think it's only for girls.

Then I went to Nordstrom, H&M, American Apparel, and at the end of the day, to Bloomingdales. There, I was searching for some new things, and at the Marc by Marc Jacobs rack, I found these two amazing shirts. I loved the print on the first one and I absolutely adored the metal dots or whatever they're called. I got one of them, guess which one...

The second one!!! =D And I haven't worn it yet, maybe I'll make a photo-shoot with it...

After shopping we went to my favorite hamburger chain in the world: IN N OUT, gosh I can't have enough of it. Then we went to the hotel and the next day we were at Ensenada, BC Mexico again.

Marc Jacobs in Mexico

This past wednesday I attended a fashion marketing panel, organized by the alumni of my major, which I enjoyed quite well, since that's the area I want to specialize on. My favorite conference was held by Selina Carlos, and Mariana Paliza representing Marc Jacobs in Mexico; where they talked about their main marketing strategies, and activities they're enroled in at the label's positioning in a new market.

For their store oppening at Masaryk, where all the top designer boutiques are, they decided to use the daisies on MJ's perfume, sending a bucket of real daisies with a Marc Jacobs card to every socialite in Mexico, announcing the arrival of their new boutique; which I thought was a great idea for brand positioning, and generating some kind of loyalty in new potential costumers. Another amazing thing they did, was the construction of big daisies, like the ones on the perfume, and place them all along the street, so the people could see the new store, and invite them to go inside and check it out. They really know how to do their job.

Marc Jacobs spring 2010 collection

Marc Jacobs just released his new spring 2010 collection, in fashion week @ bryant park, New York. Basically, this collection focuses on the"punk-meets-Riviera vibe", working for the first time with the Renzo Rosso - owned staff International (which produces Dsquared2 and Margiela). I like some pieces like the shorts, and pants; but there's something I don't like about the sandals, they're too feminine. What do you think? Here are some pictures of the collection:
