Target + Neiman Marcus: The perfect couple for this Christmas

Target and Neiman Marcus just announced their Holiday season collaboration, celebrating 50 years of design. The two brands reached 24 top-designers such as Marc Jacobs, Proenza Schouler, Tory Burch, Prabal Gurung, Rodarte, Marchesa, among other big names at the fashion industry; and collaborated with them creating more than 50 gorgeous gifts for these Holidays. I think this is a brilliant idea. You can give someone you love a pretty cool designer gift at a very affordable price. I personally want these items:

Proenza Schouler iPad Sleeve $39.99

Marc Jacobs Pouch $69.99

Rodarte Ornament $19.99

Thom Browne blazer $149.99

H&M llega a México

The wait is over. The Swedish powerful fashion brand H&M opens their first flagship store in Mexico this November 1st. at the "Centro Comercial Santa Fe" in the Santa Fe area in the City. This will be a three story store with a 4,200 square meter space, offering women's, men's, children, accessories, and many other products. H&M is known for offering the latest trends at a very affordable price.

I think Mexico needed this. There are not so many options for us, and we have to travel to other countries to get the stuff we want. Now we have it here, available and on time. The only question is: Will Mexicans know how to style these clothes? We'll see

Fashion against AIDS

Today, H&M is launching a new collection called "Fashion against AIDS", and as the name says it, 25% of the sales from this collection will be donated towards HIV/AIDS prevention projects. The previous video was recorded at Coachella this past April; some of the store's associates spent a day at the festival, showing this new collection to the young music lovers, whom this project is designed for.

I think it'll be a total success, and I'm hoping that they raise a lot of money for that charity. It's a good cause that every fashion enterprise should take in consideration. Thank you H&M!

These are my favorite pieces from the men's collection:
1 2

3 4

1) Shirt $17.95
2) Tank top $12.95
3) Jacket $49.95
4) Trousers $29.95

New clothes & shoes for this spring!

Heey guys! this spring break, I had a trip to San Antonio, Tx with my family, I loved it!, I had never been there and I thought it was beautiful, the river, downtown, the weather was amazing, and the most important thing of all: the malls, lol. I think I went to each and one of the most important ones, I found most of my favorite stores to shop at, except H&M. Anyway, I got some of this stuff there, and the other clothing is from online shopping. What do you think of my choices?

Fashion you can buy

Do you think Forever 21 is just for girls?, you are wrong!

In some of Forever 21 stores, there's a man's section with really cool stuff, and at a really low price. Go to http://www.forever21.com/21men/ and check where's the nearest store, or shop online. I chose these pieces for this spring:

Piensas que Forever 21 es sólo para chicas?, estás equivocado!

En algunas tiendas Forever 21, hay una sección para hombres con ropa muy cool, y a precios muy bajos. Visita http://www.forever21.com/21men/ y encuentra tu tienda más cercana, o compra por internet. Escogí estas piezas para esta temporada:

a) Faded Faux Denim Hoodie $27.90

b) Crinkled V-Neck Tee $14.90

c) Crinkle Hooded Woven Shirt $26.90

UNIQLO

This past January 6th. I went to the most wonderful city on earth: New York. I had never been there and I was so anxious to get to know many diferent places while I was there. My main interest obviously, was to go to designer stores, department, and vintage shops; and I accomplished it. My favorite new store that I had never been in was UNIQLO; this japanese clothing brand that projects quality, fun, and the most important: low prices!

There's just one UNIQLO in the US, and is only located at Soho in NYC. If you have the opportunity to go there, please do so, because you wont regret it. The pieces they carry are made with excelent quality, the colors are amazing, and it's something everyone can afford, not to mention the great taste in fashion.

Here is the web page link so you can visualize the concept and tell me what you think:

P.S. They are introducing this new +J line that is very elegant, sophisticated and you know, cheap :) totally awesome.

Affordable Fashion: Today's Hit

Living in a time affected by economical crisis is kind of hard when you want to look fashionably exceptional, well, not anymore! New clothing companies are rising in the world of fashion, stores that can give you what you need, what's cool and will steal a stare of more than a few people. We can name a lot of these stores, but I'm gonna mention the most important, and most talked about. H&M is leading the affordable fashion market all over the world being one the first to introduce this concept, then we have this cool british brand named Topshop, or Topman for dudes; I personally love this brand because you can wear pieces from it and feel like you're wearing a top designer piece, and it's very different and original, it is not that affordable, but it's worth it.

Affordable fashion does not mean you can wear Aeropostale, or Wal Mart clothes and look totally cool, it means that you find the right pieces at the right affordable stores, here are some of them:

  • H&M
  • Topshop
  • Forever 21
  • Uniqlo

"Whether it's a chunky knit from FCUK or a skinny tie from the superhyped British import Topman, the clothes you can afford right now are the clothes you actually want to wear" (Goldberg, 2009).
