Paulo Succar

I love my country. Mexico is one of the most beautiful places in the world. A beautiful country had to have amazing talent, and Paulo Succar proves that. The young designer from Guadalajara is proving that Mexicans do have a shot in Fashion. His designs are a combination of fun prints, lots of bright colors, and detailed tailoring. Here is his facebook page, so you can get to know him better. Watch out, he could be the next Mexican Marc Jacobs.

I personally want every piece of this collection.

Summer Essentials

Summer isn't over yet. The heat is still on the streets and you can't miss your style. I thought of the things you should have for this summer.

Top-Siders
They make every outfit look totally cool, and for this summer, it's a Must Have.
Clubmaster Ray-bans
These Clubmaster Ray-Bans are amazing, I tried them, but they were too small for my face, it's a shame...
Fedora Hat
A great way to cover from the sun burn, and a very stylish one.
Shorts
Although shorts are essential for every summer, this season you have to wear them literally "short" and a little tight.
Supima T-shirt
I completely love Supima Cotton, it feels really soft and comfortable on your skin, and also fresh. You definitely have to get one of these t-shirts. They're available at Bloomingdale's. And I think Uniqlo also uses Supima cotton for some of their clothing.

Now you have my recommendations for the rest of this summer, I hope you have an extraordinary one!!

What else would you add?

Band of Outsiders: cool, sleek, classic

The cool L.A. fashion houseBand of Outsiders, rocked the house at the presentation of their spring 2010 collection, which is inspired by the classic wealthy californian lifestyle that everyone fantasies to have. Scott Sternberg opted for something simpler this time, a literal interpretation of summer sun, beach, pool mixed with the "schooled boy" tailoring of the brand. "The designer's fantasy summer soundtrack was a composite of Led Zeppelin and Beach Boys beauty Dennis Wilson—more proof of the subtle extremes that define this label's intriguingly perverse personality" (Blanks, 2009).

These are some of the facts that I love about the collection:
  • The mix of a pair of tied shorts, a blazer, and top-siders.
  • The mix of white and camel colors.
  • The elegant and slick look.
  • The preppy look with a rebel touch.
  • The use of braces.
What do you guys think of this collection?, let me know.

Marc Jacobs spring 2010 collection

Marc Jacobs just released his new spring 2010 collection, in fashion week @ bryant park, New York. Basically, this collection focuses on the"punk-meets-Riviera vibe", working for the first time with the Renzo Rosso - owned staff International (which produces Dsquared2 and Margiela). I like some pieces like the shorts, and pants; but there's something I don't like about the sandals, they're too feminine. What do you think? Here are some pictures of the collection:
